Lets Listen to.. your HEART
A very makcik2 looking Dr attended me and straight away looked at me hands and nails and held them.

My fingers never went clubbing.. i think.
"eh mmg kuku selalu mcmni ke?" she looked surprised and examines her own. (Should Doctors do that?)
Anyway she explains nails like mine only happens to people with heart problems.
"HEART PROBLEMS!!?" In Capital RED.
Not heart attacks drop dead kind of problems but..
"Macam jantung berlubang. Selalunya dari kecik dah detect, tapiii.. Maybe awak punya tak serious sgt pasal tu awak HIDUP lagi sampai skrg. Hehehe"
I laughed with her. kahkahkahkah.
Dr Makcik proceeded to Listen to my Heart. S l o w l y. And repeat. And again. And again with a concerned look all over her face.
And she put the statescope on herself too! Huh??
(Maybe checking that its working).
"erm.. erm.. mmg bunyi lain skit la jantung awak. Tapi jgn worry ya adik, buat check up lah nanti kita refer kat specialist... bla bla bla"
No im not worried, Dr Makcik. With all due respect, how come countless other Drs never said anything then? .. Somehow this felt exciting.
Wow I could be just like Marc Vivien Foe, but me, dropping dead in the middle of the futsal pitch just after scoring that screamer. And i'd be in FOURFOURTWO Malaysian edition RM9.00, maybe a small spot in FOURFOURTWO UK, 3quid.
"Ampang Sunday League Futsal player drops dead after scoring".
Ok maybe i dont score that much and never played in a League. Well that's journalism spicing things up. And i dont wanna die on a Sunday.
Nauzubillah. i dont wanna die on a footie pitch. God Willing, i want to die on a Friday, Amin. So thats like any +7 days from the day my heart sounded funny. Heh.
Jokes aside, as i left Klinik Global, i felt a mild pain on my left side chest.
Oh ho ho what was that?!

Lets Listen to Noise
these five words i swear to you,
when you breathe i'll be the air for you,
i'll be there for you.
So ill stick with these shoegazers, space rock, whatever, that just make tunes without words. They build walls of sonic noise with soundscapes that soars and dives across planes and spaces for our minds to decipher. Sukahatilah nak rasa apa. NO singing, even if there was, its just like another instrument.

Matahari dan Awan
Last night for the first time ever, I dreamt of Flying.
Yeah not exactly flying without wings, (like me sister who fly through buildings and over mountains, through the air in her dreams-supposedly cause she's so care free hmpfh) but with the safety of a parachute. But i was going very high and fast. It was quite euphoric, i might just be smiling.
That's weird coz semenjak 2 menjak ni its been far from carefree. Awan mendung berarak, with the occasional Matahari coming out for a few moments, sometimes a couple of hours, sometimes only under 10 minutes. Pelangi forms too in that short span of time, but all the time, out of nowhere rolling Guruh steals the show. Berrreboom.. but with no Hujan. Not yet?
Not ever I hope.
So, when the Matahari do come out, we should thank God. And make full use of it. Bright shiny days makes for happy smily faces. Altough at the same time, Hujan itu Rahmat. It makes us think (rationally we hope) about the blessings that we never fail to receive day in day out. Sometimes the Hujan also knock us into conciousness to never take things for granted.
To state the obvious, the very thing that makes us happy, gives us joy, actually are the same things that CAN break our hearts and plunge us into anguish. Just like a studying mother missing her daughters back home wiping away tears while watching them making faces on the webcam or a father's lament we've all heard on tv "anak2 ni tak tau kita sayang kan dia", while his rempit son struggles with his crutches.
Sigh. Life's like that...Oh its not just about parents and offsprings, its everything else also. The one that makes us HAPPY is the reason for our SADNESS too.
So there i was feeling the wind in my hair, spreading out in the clouds, was just about to fly over the mountains to the open sea, when the parachute just snapped. Euphoria turns to Nightmare. Free falling at speed, felt like peeing! And then i sharp pain on my back.
Rupa2nya those 3 wee sisters making faces on the webcam was jumping on me, pulling me out of bed and running away laughing!
You little ruscals!

RGB
These things talk to me sometimes.
Early in the morning,
or
Right after a hearty lunch,
when mah eyes are heavy
when the aircond just blows so cool
so
she calls out to me.
she calls out to me.
she calls out to me.
and
by the time the day ends
i falter
from head to toe
spread out on them

3 goreng pisang

during a Q & A in a taklimat tender, obviously technical questions are bandied about. But while everyone was spewing tech jargons and volleying some familiar phrases from Dr Ong's Data Communication class i day-dreamt thru, i find myself watching people.
Didn't catch the techie joke they were laughing at nor did i grasp the severity of the problems facing those unoperational high-end servers in this government agency. All i caught was how this geeky geek gulped down 3 goreng pisang in one swoop. Or how this board member laughed nervously when cheekily asked of the tender's budget. His hands in his pocket fiddling with his Beemer keys. And also that lady rolling his eyes when another silly question came out from THAT mouth that just drowned 3 goreng pisang.
Why was i observing all this human movements and body language?
Why wasn't i joining in the conversations about Sun's new whatever or Nokia firewall whatever.
I am uninterested, stuck doing something im not good at is a good answer.
So while i ponder and 'wallow in my own chaotic insecure delusion',
i guess ill just sit on my sorry ass and enjoy this zone of comfort ive been building around me.
bbbrrrrr aint this air conditioning cool and comfy!

House makes my day?
Currently its House.
From that opening soundtrax by Massive Attack to closing by Dave Matt's Some Devil to name one, its a beautiful ride. And..
- You don't find a medical drama mentioning funbags let alone make fun of it in all seriousness. (huh? ok maybe it shouldn't be called a medical drama then..)
- You might also finally find out that there is an explanation for the "dammit!-what's-the-word?" moment you experience occasionally. (Or if its persistent you might want to ask your doctor about nominal aphasia)
- You might find a dominatrix, one half of the losers Harold&Kumar.. still being a loser, a member of the famed Mission Impossible series all in one episode.
But more times than not, House jolts you and just spits out the ugly truth.
"You live with dignity.. you cant die with it!"
and in one, he just spits it out to this lovely girl who's weirdly head over heels over him, the reason for her obsession. And sadly it was the truth.
Sigh.. but who would sampai hati hurt a beautiful girl like her?!
House.
Crazy.

Things that make your day, #1
its amazing how finding a pair of perfect jeans can make your day.
No, let me rephrase,
its amazing how finding a pair of perfect jeans at discounted price can make your day.
hell, its available anywhere but just cant quite rationalize paying for that pricey price. so its heaven sent that there are these obscure shops carrying those 'victimised pairs' of the strict quality control. these bargain priced buys are so precious that even a mate once made a point to keep it a secret.
Either
1. he's uncomfortable when people know he's wearing those less priced jeans OR
2. he just do not want any other soul to start buying all those precious jeans at discounted price even if he can't fit all of it in his wardrobe.
But, i'm sure its the latter. For he's not one to be embarassed with.. a ahh.. let's just say it, a REJECT pair of jeans. Let's just face it, we just make em look gooood on us, nobody would have guessed its a REJECT! Ha ha..
Then there is another mate who just can not see the point of buying a well known brand at discounted price. It all seems unoriginal to him, a tad.. 'faking-it'.
So he buys
1. A pair of that three stripes shoes at half a ribu a pop to find it a bit too tight a month later.
2. A white mp3 player that can hold 15000 tracks to fit it only with 700 worth of tune.
3. A pair of vintage (read: torn and worn) jeans at another half a ribu cause it's a limited edition pair.
And the list goes on...
Well, all this comes down to how we perceive and value things. How we feel good with what our money can buy. How we make ourselves happy and how it can make our day.
It is truly amazing, how a nice perfect pair of jeans at discounted price, can make my day.

The F2

back in the old days, people used this sort of cameras. you need a whole briefcase to store the lens, filters, flashgun and film rolls. and you lug the briefcase around not unlike those gentlemen going to work you see in movies.
oh yes, films! thats what we use to capture those pictures. yeah, like memory cards in your digicam. something like that.
The F2 has been sitting idle for quite a long time.
So, one fine day (and some nights) i took action and loaded a roll.
